The CoA has extended its temporary changes as short-term program modifications implemented to minimize COVID-19 exposure through December 31, 2021. In addition, virtual site visits are expected to continue through December 31, 2021. Furthermore, the CoA voted to temporarily change accreditation award dates to applicant programs as the last day of the virtual site visit rather than the last day of the CoA meeting in which the program was reviewed. The CoA will continue to evaluate whether flexibility in the expanded use of distance practices, virtual site visits, and other COVID-19 related program changes are appropriate beyond December 31 and will provide updates when they are made.
