The Commission on Accreditation (CoA) held its annual new member orientation and policy meeting on February 2−5, 2022. Five new commissioners have joined the CoA this year:
Jennifer A. Cornish, PhD, ABPP, joins the CoA in a seat nominated by the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers-Training Communities CoA Nominations Committee. She is currently a clinical professor for the University of Denver Graduate School of Psychology. She completed her PhD in clinical psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles.
Kalyani Gopal, PhD, joins the CoA in a seat nominated by the APA Board of Affairs. She is the founder/president of SAFE Coalition for Human Rights and is also the president of Mid-America Psychological and Counseling Services. She completed her PhD in clinical psychology at Alliant University-San Diego.
M. Franci Crepeau-Hobson, PhD, joins the CoA in a seat nominated by the Council of Directors of School Psychology Programs. She is an associate professor and director of Clinical Training in the school psychology program at the University of Colorado, Denver. She completed her PhD in school psychology at the University of Northern Colorado.
Sree Saroj Sainath (Sreenath) Panchagnula, joins the CoA in a seat nominated by the American Psychological Association of Graduate Students. He is currently completing his doctoral degree in the clinical psychology PhD program at Jackson State University.
Sheila Renee Peters, PhD, joins the CoA in a seat nominated by the Council of Graduate Departments of Psychology. She is the director of the Fisk Counseling Center at Fisk University as well as the director of graduate studies in psychology. She completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Clark University.
The CoA is excited to welcome these five new members.
The CoA is comprised of 32 members and care is taken to maintain a diverse balance between academic institutions and programs, practitioners, and the publics served by accreditation.
