The Commission on Accreditation (CoA) is pleased to welcome three new commissioners, who were appointed in spring of 2022 to fill seats nominated by training councils, the CoA, and the general public:
Shakina M. Butt, PsyD, ABPP-CN, joins the CoA in a seat nominated by the APA Commission on Accreditation (CoA). She is currently a Pediatric Neuropsychologist in the Section of Center for Behavioral Health at the Institute of Brain Protection Sciences Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in Saint Petersburg, Florida. She completed her PsyD in clinical psychology at the Florida School of Professional Psychology in Tampa.
Candace K. Ganz, EdD, CCC-SLP, joins the CoA in a seat representing the general public. She is currently an affiliate associate professor in the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders at the University of Cincinnati and is the senior clinical director of the Reading & Literacy Discovery Center in the Department of Speech Language Pathology at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. She completed her EdD in Educational Leadership at Seattle University and a MA in speech pathology and audiology at the University of Kansas. She is replacing Tiffany Hill, Esq., who served as a member from January 2019 to February 2022.
Jim A. Haugh, PhD, joins the CoA in a seat nominated by the Council of University Directors of Clinical Psychology. He is currently an associate professor of psychology and director of clinical training for Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey. He completed his PhD in clinical psychology at Saint Louis University in Saint Louis, Missouri.
The CoA is excited to welcome these three new members.
The CoA is comprised of 32 members and care is taken to maintain a diverse balance between academic institutions and programs, practitioners, and the publics served by accreditation.
