The APA-CoA is accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) as a programmatic accrediting body. The CoA’s last full review was in 2013, in which it received a 10-year recognition renewal status. The CoA submitted its written petition for continued recognition in January of 2023 and will present this submission to the CHEA Committee on Recognition (CoR) in March 2023. The CoR will then make a recommendation to the Board of Directors (BoD); the CHEA BoD will make a decision about continuing recognition of the APA-CoA as an accrediting body.
