At its meeting held from Oct. 17-20, 2019, the American Psychological Association’s Commission on Accreditation reviewed a proposal from a program offering to teach-out students from the formerly-operational, APA-accredited Clinical PsyD programs at Argosy University. The commission approved a teach-out proposal from this program, which had not previously been APA-accredited. This program has been granted “accredited, inactive” status, which will allow them to teach-out impacted students from Argosy University’s APA-accredited Clinical PsyD programs. Should this “accredited, inactive” teach-out program wish to accept new, non-Argosy students into a program created as a function of the teach-out, they must separately apply for initial accreditation.
