Organizations that provide certifications in APA-recognized specialties and subspecialties may apply to be recognized by APA so that individuals with a certification from the organization can have that credential listed in the APA membership directory.
The Commission for the Recognition of Specialties and Subspecialties in Professional Psychology (CRSSPP) carries out this recognition process.

When organizations apply for recognition, notice is provided so that third-party comments can be made about those organizations. The commission accepts third-party comments about organizations applying for recognition which must state the name of the people or parties represented by each comment. Issues addressed in comments should focus on the issues covered by the Criteria for the Recognition of Organizations that Provide Certifications in Specialties and Subspecialties in Professional Psychology (PDF, 104KB).
All comments must be in writing and are limited to 10 pages. To process third-party comments in the most efficient manner, comments should be provided within 90 days of the program's date of application.

Organizations that have been judged by the CRSSPP to be consistent substantively and procedurally with the Criteria for the Recognition of Organizations that Provide Certifications in Specialties and Subspecialties in Professional Psychology.
Application Voluntarily Withdrawn
The organization has voluntarily withdrawn its application from the recognition process.
Application Fee: $1,000
Application fees are for initial and renewal applications. The organization must provide payment with the submission of application for recognition.
Annual Fee: $250
An annual fee is due with the invoice at the beginning of each approval year, starting the year after approval.
