Looking to join a community of like-minded students who love psychology just as much as you? Psi Alpha, the International Honor Society for High School Psychology Students is what you’ve been waiting for! With over 6,600 student members and nearly 140 active chapters worldwide, Psi Alpha is the only honor society dedicated exclusively to high school students with a passion for the science of psychology. As a member, you’ll have the chance to grow academically, build real leadership skills, do your own research, and gain recognition for all your hard work. When your school starts its own chapter, which is an easy process, there are tons of exciting opportunities that you can take advantage of as a member.
Every July, Psi Alpha recognizes students and advisors who go above and beyond in their chapters, schools, and communities. This year’s award winners, and all other applicants, demonstrated incredible dedication to the field of psychology and showed what it means to be a true Psi Alpha member. Congratulations to the 2024–2025 award recipients:
- Psi Alpha Outstanding Psychology Student Scholarship: Alayna Samnani
- The Dr. Jerry Rudmann Award for Outstanding Psychology Advisory: Rachael Peterson
- Psi Alpha Chapter Service Scholarship: The Colony High School Collegiate Academy
- Psi Alpha Chapter Excellence Awards: The Colony High School Collegiate Academy, Vernon Township High School, and School of Science & Technology College Prep HS
- The Kristen Frederico Outstanding Chapter Award: James Martin High School (Rachael Peterson)
