About Psychology Student Network

Psychology Student Network (PSN) is published biannually (in spring and fall) by APA's Center for Education in Psychology to serve as a resource for precollege and undergraduate psychology students. PSN features invited and submitted articles aimed at introducing students to innovative ideas in psychology and highlighting various career paths in, and related to, psychology. The editorial staff contributes announcements about student resources and opportunities.

The views and opinions expressed in PSN articles are those of the authors and do not reflect APA policy.  APA and the editors of the PSN assume no responsibility for statements and opinions advanced by the authors of its articles.

Submissions

PSN both publishes invited articles and welcomes submissions. Please contact PSN co-editor  Martha Boenauopens in new window to discuss a potential submission or to submit an article for review.

Articles should be no more than 750–1,000 words and written for an audience of high school and college students. Submissions should be prepared following APA style as described in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association and should use APA’s inclusive language guidelines (PDF,597KB).opens in new window

Submissions are reviewed by the editorial staff who may suggest edits or request revisions before accepting a submission for publication.

Author Guidelines, Rights, and Responsibilities

Authors are responsible for ensuring that material published in PSN has not been previously published, is original, and does not infringe on any third party’s right.

Authors retain copyright over the material they publish in PSN. By submitting an article to PSN, authors grant APA a perpetual, royalty free, worldwide, non-exclusive license to reproduce, display, distribute and prepare derivative works of your article in any medium, including electronic, online and/or print format, including, but not limited to on APA’s website located at www.apa.org. The Author indemnifies and holds harmless APA and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claim, lawsuit, or liability arising in any way in connection with the Author’s grant of the license to APA.
