On behalf of the 2022 Society for the Teaching of Psychology (STP; APA Division 2) Presidential Task Force on Decolonizing Introductory Psychology, I am pleased to announce the work products of a 2022 STP Presidential Task Force, which are now available online via the STP website.

In 2022, STP Past President Linda Woolf convened a task force to create a repository of resources and materials aimed at decolonizing approaches to teaching and learning in introductory psychology courses. Task force members included Teceta Tormala, Ashley Biddle, Gabi Martorell, and Leslie Berntsen. The members of the task force put out a call to high school, community college, and college and university educators, and received submissions that included lectures, assignments, activities, lesson plans, and even a book. The task force created Resources for Decolonizing Introductory Psychologyopens in new window, which includes these resources, two infographics developed by the task force to help guide educators towards decolonizing their classrooms, and the full task force report.

We hope these materials are helpful to you in your work to decolonize your classrooms.
