School children stand in a line outside of the school

This guided reflection tool aims to help schools understand and consider those factors that can widen or reduce disparities in opportunity, experiences, and outcomes for each student in their school community. Understanding these factors can widen or reduce disparities for preK-12 students and can be applied to other education contexts.

This tool has a free downloadable PDF and complementary Word document that provides an in-depth explanation and examples that outline how to use the guided reflection tool. The tool allows users to assess current conditions and develop strategies to identify areas that need improvement and those that capitalize on the strengths of their school community.
