About the author:

Daniel Adams is a senior at Randolph College, preparing to graduate in May 2026. His love of psychology comes from a lifelong curiosity about why people do what they do, and how to help make people’s lives easier. This curiosity evolved into a commitment to empirically study social psychology, which is why Daniel plans to attend a PhD program following graduation. As a graduate student, he hopes to develop into a scientist who explores human social behavior and cognition. He is currently an intern supporting APA staff who work in precollege and undergraduate education, where he helps use psychological research to inform and assist educators and students.
