Greetings All,
The Psi Alpha International Honor Society for High School Psychologyopens in new window continues to grow and thrive. We have grown to over 180 chapters and will induct our 10,000th student member this spring. We are fortunate to have such dedicated educators in high schools willing to serve as advisors for our chapters. Additionally, we have a very dedicated administrative team leading daily operations. We recently updated our member registration system. Hats off to the gentlemen at 330Cloud who performed all the technical changes as well as Jacquelyn Hamby (director of chapter operations) who designed the changes and shepherded the project. Special thanks as well to Jordan James (chapter relations specialist) and Abbey Dunn (executive assistant) for all their extra work during the process. This new system is far more user friendly and requires less manual labor at the delivery end. Those advisors who became frustrated with the old system should try out the new one. We think you will be pleased.
Psi Alpha is always looking to the future. This fall, we hope to explore starting a Student International Council with representatives from each region of the country and international representation. We are also looking forward to starting an online journal to demonstrate the amazing work our student members are doing and to provide them with the recognition they deserve. Certainly, we will continue to publish our quarterly newsletter and hope to expand our collaborations and scholarship program. You can always find us at psialpha.org. Questions are always welcome.
