High school teachers of psychology are invited to the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay for a day packed with professional development activities especially designed for teaching high school psychology. Keynote speakers include Charlie Blair-Broeker, presenting on the road taken by high school psychology, and Eric Landrum, PhD, presenting on "What You Can Do with a Psychology Degree."
Sessions will include updates on research in psychology, easier ways to teach difficult topics especially regarding neuroscience and biology, and opportunities for attendees to use electroencephalogram caps and explore an active neuroscience lab, work with eye trackers and for the brave of heart, access to human cadavers. University of Wisconsin-Green Bay faculty will be on hand to meet individually with teachers who want special instruction and those wishing to build connections between high school and college.
There will also be social activities planned with the keynote speakers on Oct. 6 in Green Bay with optional tours of scenic breweries, dinner at Lambeau Field (yes, that iconic structure itself and all team fans welcome) and more. Reduced price hotel accommodations available to attendees.
EPIC is perfect for high school teachers all types of psychology courses (e.g., Introductory, Dual Enrollment, IB, AP). Registration and information can be found on the Epic webpageopens in new window.
