As a professor, do you ever feel overwhelmed when a student comes to you with the question “How can I prepare myself for a career with my psychology degree?” We know that psychology prepares you for a large number of jobsopens in new window but how to get there is another story. Preparing to use a bachelor's degree in psychology requires planning. An APA Committee on Associate and Baccalaureate Education working group (Drew Appleby, PhD, Paul Hettich, PhD, and Stacie Spencer, PhD) has put together a comprehensive set of posters comprised of four “milestones” that will help your students understand how their skills, degree, experiences and brand can prepare them to land a job that's the right fit for them. In addition to the poster set, the working group developed a site that provides some of the best resources for your students.
Check out the new resource “Preparing to Use Your Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.” If you’d like to order a free printed set of the posters, please contact Martha Boenau.
