Estimated Turnaround Time for CESA Application Cycles
This sample timeline provides an estimated turnaround time for those who apply for and receive approval — i.e., from submission of your application, to the approximate time it takes to receive a decision from the committee, to the next steps required by applicants following the Continuing Education Committee (CEC) meeting.
Two Important Notes
All dates are used as examples. Official application deadlines are included with the CESA applications.
Please ensure that the primary point of contact and email are updated for your organization, and that you have designated us as 'safe'/accepted by your email inbox and server so that you will receive all communications from our office.

Application has been submitted. All applications must be submitted by the deadline to be reviewed by the Continuing Education Committee (CEC).
Feb. 26 (with Late Fee)

Submitted
Applications submitted after the deadline will be accessed a Late Fee. Please see our Fees page for further information.
Feb. – mid-Apr.
Jul. – mid-Sep.
Under Review
The application has been assigned and is under review by the CEC.
Mid-Apr. – early May
Mid-Sep. – early Oct.
Decision Reached
Once a decision is reached, email correspondence is sent to the primary point of contact on file for the organization.
Approximately 12 weeks following Initial Notification of Decision email
Review Report Ready
A second email is sent, also to the primary point of contact, when the Review Report has been posted to their account. All organizations must respond to their Review Report.
Within 30 days of receiving Review Report
Review Report Response Submitted
The Review Report response has been sent to the CESA office from the organization. The organization may be contacted by the CESA office for further clarification and information upon review of their submitted responses.
Finalized
The Review Report, and all fees, have been submitted through the OAS. The application is now considered ‘Archived’.
