Description
This module introduces a set of skills that enable teachers to establish and maintain a classroom environment that maximizes students’ active engagement in learning, while also minimizing disruptive behaviors. A three-level framework for improving classroom behavior management is presented. At the universal level strategies are applied to all students. The selective level addresses strategies for students at-risk for disruption, while the intensive strategies are reserved for students already engaging in disruptive behavior. Attention is also given to strategies that have been counterproductive to successful class management.
