Description

The science and practice of brain health are each developing at a rapid pace; there are now many ways to promote cognitive health and functioning in your adult patients. Whether in psychotherapy or integrated care, across delivery formats including telehealth, behavioral health providers can help culturally diverse middle aged and older adults understand cognitive aging and engage in brain-healthy habits. This 90-minute webinar features clinical strategies to (a) educate patients about normative age-related changes in cognitive functioning and (b) promote brain healthy practices that are consistent with their personal values and life goals.

Learning objectives

  • Describe practices to enhance patients’ understanding of normal cognitive aging.
  • Prioritize among evidence-based strategies to promote brain health in culturally diverse patients.
