Description
Supervisor competence, an essential ethical requirement, has not been universally achieved. In this intermediate workshop, current approaches from the presenters’ 2021 edition of Clinical Supervision: A Competency-Based Approach, are provided. Self-awareness centered on the fulcrum of multi- and intercultural identities of the client, supervisee (therapist), and supervisor is required for effective supervision. The workshop focuses on challenging supervision situations, including discussion of cultural identities in client assessment and treatment; safety in supervisee self-disclosure of reactivity and personal factors; and impact of supervisor feedback and evaluation on the clinical practice.
Webinars are converted to video on-demand programs with closed captioning after the live air date
