Description
Psychologists can offer a variety of treatments that can ease the symptoms associated with the menopausal transition and set the stage for a healthy postmenopausal life. These include evidence-based practices that have been found to work well with women undergoing the menopausal transition and treatments that allow for modification to accommodate the realities of these women. This article discusses the physiological, psychological, sexual, and social aspects of the menopausal transition and offers key interventions for biopsychosocial issues that arise during peri- and postmenopause.
After reading the CE Corner article, you will be asked to complete a “Commitment-to-Change” (CTC) exercise. The CTC exercise is designed to help facilitate the translation of your learning into practice. Completion of the CTC is required prior to the completion of the CE Test based on the APA Monitor CE Corner article series.
