Description
The APA Guidelines for Psychological Practice With Older Adults was last published in 2013. A diverse team of psychologists reviewed the existing guidelines in light of recent literature and other new APA guidelines. Research is limited on diverse groups of older adults, particularly those with multiple layers of intersecting identities. However, significant additions to the guidelines related to diversity, equity, and inclusion will be introduced, as well as other significant additions (e.g., telehealth). This webinar will highlight key issues considered in the revision based on new literature, and considerations for reorganization of the guidelines. Implications for practice will be covered.
This program is part of the APA Guidelines for Psychological Practice With Older Adults: A Practitioner’s Guide series.
