Description
This webinar will review interventions for older adults and consultation with interdisciplinary teams. Multiple evidence-based therapies have been modified for older adults to address common challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief. The presentation will review these approaches to care and clinical considerations when working with older adults and the settings in which one works. Additionally, given the medical complexities that often accompany aging, this workshop will address the importance of consultation and the many ways psychologists can facilitate the coordination of patient care.
This program is part of the APA Guidelines for Psychological Practice With Older Adults: A Practitioner’s Guide series.
