Description
Starting a practice can be daunting; especially during the pandemic. The many questions about practice structure, records, administrative processes, finances and marketing can create anxiety for the mental health professional who wants to move into independent practice. This workshop will provide participants a methodology for envisioning their practice and developing a plan to address key decisions. Considerations around forming a solo versus a group practice will be addressed. The importance of developing key practice metrics to help with clinical and practice decision-making will be discussed. Options for using technology in the midst of the pandemic will also be addressed.
Learning objectives
- List advantages of having a clearly defined practice vision.
- Describe types of metrics that are important for running an outpatient mental health practice.
