Social Justice and Advocacy
Develop skills to effectively address social justice issues and learn strategies to be an advocate across various contexts. Program in this series cover:
- Culturally sensitive clinical skills related to human trafficking and domestic violence.
- Promoting psychological healing in immigrant communities.
- Culturally affirming racial dialogue and confronting microaggressions.
- Skills for advocating for social justice at the systemic, institutional, interpersonal, and intrapersonal levels.
All programs include closed captioning.
Live programs include PowerPoint presentation, Q&A with the presenter, and may include interactive polling, video clips, and other resources.
After the live air date, webinars are converted to on-demand programs, which offer the opportunity to earn CE credits by completing a test.
Programs in this series have been reviewed and approved by the APA Office of Continuing Education in Psychology.
The American Psychological Association is recognized by the New York State Education Department's (NYSED) State Board for Psychology as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed psychologists #PSY-0100. Programs meet NYSED requirements unless otherwise specified.
