Description
This introductory webinar presents up-to-date findings on how academic and corporate researchers are investigating psilocybin as a breakthrough therapy for anxiety, depression, and substance misuse disorders. At the same time, your clients and members of the general public may be using psilocybin to increase self-awareness, treat or cure psychiatric disorders, or access mystical experiences. We cover latest research findings on clinical and adult use of psilocybin, including short- and long-term risks and limitations of the research. For your clients who may be using psilocybin on their own, you will learn five steps for incorporating psychedelic-informed practices into treatment.
Learning objectives
- Summarize findings from and limitations of recent psilocybin assisted psychotherapy clinical trials.
- Describe adult psilocybin use in the United States, including use in people from diverse backgrounds.
