Technology in Clinical Testing and Assessment
August 2021
Technology is becoming a core part of many psychological testing and assessment practices in various contexts (education, workplace, clinical, forensic), innovating ways in which data are collected, analyzed, and interpreted. While such innovations offer exciting possibilities for psychological research and practices, they also pose a number of new challenges associated with validity, reliability, and fairness/bias as well as with ethical and practical concerns.
This video focuses on clinical testing and assessment. Tulane University's Patrick Bordnick, PhD, answers the following questions:
- What kinds of clinical testing and assessment technology do you find most exciting, and where do you think the field is heading next?
- What do you think is the most critical issue to overcome in this domain, and why?
- Please share any thoughts you have on diversity, equity/fairness, and inclusion issues within this domain.
This program does not offer CE credit.
