Improvements in the openness, rigor, and reproducibility of psychological science requires substantial changes in the culture of how we conduct and report science, yet current dysfunctional incentives prioritize publication over accuracy and privacy over transparency. Successful culture change will require coordinated policy, incentive, and normative changes to improve research credibility and accelerate progress.
