Path to promotion at 2-year institutions: Service
Mentoring for Mid-Career Academic Psychologists
May 2021
In this webinar, Diane Finley, PhD, of Prince George’s Community College, and Kathleen Hughes, PhD, of Pasco-Hernando State College, focus on service, whether through administrative roles, participating on shared governance committees on campus, or contributing to the broader discipline through regional or national participation in leadership roles. The presenters aim to “demystify” service roles that post-tenure AA-level faculty are expected, to some degree, to take on, such as serving as a faculty mentor, club advisor, department chair, or shared governance participation. In addition, the webinar covers other important service roles, such as serving on an APA governance committee or division leadership.
This program does not offer CE credit.
