Nature, Climate Change, and Mental Health
Psychologist's Toolbox
January 2021
How can mental health practitioners effectively engage with the impacts of environmental issues and climate change in their therapeutic work? This program introduces a three-phase process through which practitioners can (1) assess their environmental identities, beliefs, and experiences (including sources of trauma and resilience); (2) adapt their existing therapeutic orientations and skill sets to ameliorate common environmental impacts and concerns; and (3) apply these interventions into their counseling and treatment efforts with diverse individuals.
This program does not offer CE credit.
