Interviewing for Academic Jobs
“Campus visits” represent the “home stretch” in relation to securing a faculty position, as well as a key opportunity to “seal the deal.” The “job talk” is one key component of the campus visit, but it is embedded within a series of critical meetings and intensive interactions with students, colleagues, and academic administrators, each of whom have distinctive perspectives and contributions to the hiring process. Learn the kinds of questions you should ask, and expect, in each of those critical interactions.
