Apply for one of the three open slates for the election of new members for a three-year term (Jan. 1, 2020 - Dec. 31, 2022):
- Slate 1: Public member (Non-psychologist)
- Slate 2: Forensic psychologist
- Slate 3: Psychologist (Area of Focus Open)
The committee will consider the nominees and forward slates to the Board of Directors for approval. The Council of Representatives will elect the new members this fall.

Confirm
- You are a member of APA.
- You will not be serving on any prohibited APA boards or APA committees as of Jan. 1, 2020, when new Ethics Committee terms begin. (Association Rule 110-14, “Rules Governing Simultaneous Service on Boards and Committees,” prohibits service on the Ethics Committee while serving on any APA board or standing committee. - Which slate(s) you are interested in being considered for.
- Whether you are interested in serving as an Ethics Committee associate in the future if you are not elected as a member. (The Ethics Committee selects the non-voting associates to provided additional expertise. The next associate will be chosen by the committee in late 2019 to begin a three-year term in January 2020.)
- Whether you have any reportable disciplinary actions under the committee’s Policy Regarding Qualifications of Ethics Decision Makersopens in new window.

- Provide an optional summary for the Ethics Committee of experience you have that would be helpful to the Committee in doing its work.
