Psychology students spent more money applying for internships through the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers match in 2011 than in any previous year. What's driving the trend? Rising gas prices, students opting to travel to more sites and students applying to increasing numbers of sites are a few potential culprits, says APPIC Match Coordinator Greg Keilin, PhD.
