Your mental health is important, and you don’t have to face your challenges alone, said APA President-Elect Thema Bryant, PhD, alongside U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, MD, MBA, in a new video from the Office of the U.S. Surgeon General intended to help change the narrative on mental health.
The video was filmed at APA 2022, the annual convention of the APA, where Murthy spoke at a mainstage event on the youth mental health crisis. The video has been shared widely on social media.
Murthy also met with APA President Frank C. Worrell, PhD, Past President Jennifer F. Kelly, PhD, and CEO Arthur C. Evans Jr., PhD, at APA 2022 to discuss continuing to partner on strategies to better serve our nation’s health needs.
