Covid-19 is a significant stressor for most Americans as nearly 8 in 10 (78%) say the coronavirus is a significant source of stress in their life. In addition, nearly 7 in 10 (67%) say they have experienced stress over the course of the pandemic.
The country’s future is a significant source of stress and 71 percent agreed that this is the lowest point in our nation’s history that they can remember.
The average reported stress level of surveyed Gen Z adults was higher than the average of all adults during the past month.
51 percent of Gen Z teens (13-17) say the pandemic makes planning for their future feel impossible. 50 percent of those teens say the pandemic severely disrupted their plans for the future.
Gen Z adult college students say their education is significant sources of stress. 82 percent say uncertainty about what the 2020-2021 school year will be like causes stress as well as 67 percent say the pandemic makes planning for their future feel impossible.
