EDI Toolkit for Journal Editors Cover APA Journals is proud to share the updated version of our Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Toolkit for Journal Editors (PDF, 2.7MB)opens in new window.

Journal editors are uniquely positioned to foster an editorial process that includes all people and to build a psychological science that more fully reflects the human experience.

The EDI Toolkit for Journal Editors is intended to serve as a living document, offering the most up-to-date guidance and resources for promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in scholarly journals.

Based on editor feedback, evolution of best practices, and new resources from APA and other organizations, the updates to the second edition of the Toolkit offer a current and comprehensive set of resources and recommendations for promoting EDI as a journal editor.

Prospective authors, reviewers, and publishing industry professionals can also use the Toolkit to identify ways to improve their research, peer review, and publishing processes.

The Toolkit is part of broader efforts by APA Publishing to implement its EDI Framework and to advance APA’s vision of an accessible, equitable, and inclusive psychology that promotes human rights, fairness, and dignity for all.
