Authors may construct the data transparency appendix for manuscripts submitted to Journal of Applied Psychology® in narrative and/or table format. Below are examples of how to do so.
The first narrative example is for multiple uses of data collected from the same sample, and the second narrative example is for a publicly available dataset. The table example is applicable to both types of data sources, as noted below.
These are merely examples – authors should edit these according to their specific data circumstances.
When providing information in tables and/or narratives, address any paper(s) previously published, in press, or currently under review, as well as any paper(s) that foreseeably will be under review before an editorial decision is made on the current submitted manuscript (i.e., is soon to be submitted).
Use as many columns as is necessary. Provide any additional information necessary to clarify the unique contribution of each manuscript. Please be sure to name your variables.
To keep the manuscript in compliance with the masked review policies, please do not add any information that includes author, journal title, or other bibliographic information. However, please be sure to name your variables. Please add the data appendix table as the last page of your manuscript file.
