Science

Many organizations sponsor awards for which psychological scientists are eligible. While most psychological scientists know about awards from the American Psychological Association, APA divisions and affiliated societies, the American Psychological Foundation and the Association for Psychological Science, they may be less familiar with awards offered by other organizations.

A list of awards from some of these other sources is provided here. They include awards for scientific achievement, mentoring and contributions to the public.

APA encourages you to nominate your colleagues—or yourself—for these awards. Note that just because a psychologist has not previously won a particular award does not mean psychologists are ineligible. It may just mean that psychologists haven’t been nominated yet. Make sure to check the award websites for current information on nomination criteria, procedures and deadlines.

If you have suggestions for additional awards to include, please contact us via email.
