The mission of the Presidential Task Force on Neuropsychological Test Norming in Diverse Populations  is two-fold: 1) to review the current positions of neuropsychologically focused groups, and 2) to develop an APA sponsored research agenda focused on the issue of considering the sociocultural context, lived experiences and representation of diverse populations on the development and use of normative adjustments in neurocognitive tests.

The research agenda will serve as an important tool for APA to communicate with its constituency and society at large.  It will enhance APA’s ability to inform the application of knowledge in this area to benefit society and improve lives, and as such, it will position APA as a leading organization in advancing science-based knowledge aimed at promoting health equity in the provision of psychological services to minoritized populations.

The APA Board of Directors has appointed ten members to the Task Force.
