At the April 2016 program review meeting, the The Committee on Accreditation (CoA) approved four IRs to go out for a period of public comment. These IRs included:
- Consortium IR for doctoral programs.
- Consortium IR for internship programs,
- Consortium IR for postdoctoral residency programs.
- Discipline-specific knowledge IR (proposed revisions to the approved IR).
Consistent with CoA’s procedures for policy development, the public comment is reviewed and common themes are identified. CoA reviews each common theme in light of the proposed policy and decides whether the comment should be integrated into the policy, and if so, how it should be integrated. If CoA is unable to draft a final version of the policy for approval by the full CoA, it may place the policy out for an additional round of public comment.
