BEA/BPA Task Force on Doctoral Competencies in Health Service Psychology

Bergkamp is chair of the PsyD program at Antioch University Seattle with a research focus on decolonial pedagogy and socially conferred privilege awareness. He identifies as a bi-racial, straight, cis-gender, able-bodied, male, person of color. He is dedicated to integrating social justice into clinical psychology and positioning the field for success in the next decade.

Bufka, associate chief of Practice Transformation at APA, focuses on policy development related to the provision of psychological services. She is White, cisgender, clinically expert in treating anxiety, individually knowledgeable in cross cultural families, and excited about the future for psychology.

Lichtenberg is a licensed psychologist and an emeritus faculty member—having served as director of training, as university counseling center director, and as associate dean for graduate studies and research. His areas of interest and expertise are in the study of therapeutic processes and in therapist expertise.

Lieb is a board-certified child and adolescent clinical psychologist in the neuropsychology department at Kennedy Krieger Institute, with a focus on assessment of children with developmental disabilities. She is White and cisgender. She is committed to lifelong learning, serving as the 2021 APA Continuing Education Committee (CEC) chair.

McKinnie is a licensed clinical psychologist and co-founder of the Big Sky Psychological Consortium in Bozeman, Montana where she serves as Director of Clinical Training for post-doctoral psychology residents. She is White, cisgender, dedicated to high quality psychodynamic clinical work and training, and is active in her state psychological association leadership and advocacy efforts.

Miller is professor and co-graduate program director of the counseling psychology program at Loyola University Chicago where he currently holds the Fr. Walter P. Krolikowski, SJ Endowed Research Professorship. He directs the Race, Culture, and Health Equity Lab, is an associate editor for the Journal of Counseling Psychology, and is a board member of the Asian American Psychological Association.

Pérez-Rojas is a licensed psychologist and an associate professor in the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology at Indiana University. He is a first-generation White Venezuelan American cisgender man with a strong desire to re-imagine and transform health-service psychology into a more socially responsive profession.

Ponce is a clinical psychologist and associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine. She’s the director of education at the Connecticut Mental Health Center and is committed to building health service psychology’s capacity to provide socially responsive, accessible, and equitable mental health care. Allison identifies as a cisgender, straight woman of Hispanic and Italian heritage.

Ramclam will receive her PhD in school psychology from the University of Houston in August. She is an intern and future postdoctoral fellow at Nemours Children's Hospital. Ashley is a Black, cisgender woman committed to improved training and service provision across systems to improve care for marginalized youth.

Washburn is a licensed clinical psychologist and board certified in clinical child psychology. He is a professor in the department of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Northwestern University, where he is the director of graduate studies for the MA and PhD programs in clinical psychology and runs inpatient and outpatient psychological testing clinics. He is White, cisgender, typically abled with interests in nonsuicidal self-injury, suicide, and education and training in health service psychology.
