The Southwestern Psychological Association (SWPA) meeting will be held on April 5-7, at the Hotel Albuquerque in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This year’s meeting theme is “Psychology: From the Lab to the Labyrinth.” More information can be found on the SWPA website. A few program highlights are listed below:
- Debra Hope, University of Nebraska, Lincoln, will discuss how community partnerships enhance research and the preliminary finding with transgender and gender nonconforming communities.
- Chris Fore, Indian Health Services, will examine the culture, technology and training issues within the field of psychology.
- Terri Messman-Moore, Miami University will analyze the role of emotion dysregulation in the synergistic effects of cumulative trauma.
