Navigating Change at Mid-Career
Professional Resilience in Changing Times
June 2025
The mid-career stage is most psychologists' peak earning and responsibility years. Undertaking a major career change at this point in one’s professional life isn’t easy but is entirely achievable and can lead to a more fulfilling path, greater personal growth, and renewed passion for one’s work.
Terri Finney, PhD, discusses the psychology of personal and professional transitions, offers questions to reflect on in terms of what transition looks like for you, and offers strategies to facilitate growth and resilience during periods of uncertainty and change.
