APA's Committee for Global Psychology (CGP) is composed of nine members, elected for a three-year term by APA's Council of Representatives. Three new members are elected each year.
The slates for the election are developed by CGP under approval of the APA Board of Directors. CGP has developed a targeted nominations statement for the slates. Nominations should be submitted to the APA Elections office.
The CGP seeks APA members who are concerned with, knowledgeable about, and familiar with international issues related to psychology. Expertise in international research, practice, education, and policy are desired.
The committee seeks to maintain a diverse membership in terms of ethnic, linguistic, and geographical representation. The committee welcomes nominations and self-nominations of psychologists in all stages of their career path.
