The mission of the Office of International Affairs (OIA) is to advance psychology globally through international engagement, association efforts, meaningful collaborations and enhance APA’s role as a partner and leader in global health. OIA achieves this by:

Facilitating collaborations and exchange with national and international psychology organizations, including through the MOU Partner Program.

Identifying policy priorities and joining colleagues in leadership on key issues in global psychology.

Creating opportunities for APA members to explore applications of psychology and the development of the field across the world through the International Learning Partner Program.

Providing staff support to the Committee on International Relations in Psychology.

Expanding APA’s global network through the International Affiliates membership opportunity.

Coordinating APA’s U.N. Representation.

Serving as a general touchpoint for APA on international aspects of the field.
