The ILPP offers members the unique opportunity to gain insights into psychology and mental health care across the world, and learn from international colleagues—all while taking the trip of a lifetime.
Through professional visits and meetings with leaders in the field, the ILPP facilitates the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and resources, and fosters long-term international collaborations. Past programs included visits to university, hospital, clinical, community, and governmental settings focusing on addiction and rehabilitation, trauma, education, aging, policy, immigration, refugees, and other areas of interest. Please view individual program itineraries for more information.
Initiated in 2012 with a trip to Cuba, the ILPP has since expanded to include Bangladesh, Tanzania, Kosovo, and Portugal, with future trips planned in Uzbekistan and the Philippines.
