APA International Learning Partner Program in the Philippines

Apply for the opportunity to gain unique insights into psychology and mental health care in the dynamic cities of Manila and Cebu, Philippines—home to one of the region’s most vibrant and active psychological communities. Delegates will meet with leaders and practitioners in the field from throughout Asia and engage in exclusive professional visits. Earn up to 50 APA CE credits through this exceptional international experience.
APA has partnered with the Psychological Association of the Philippines (PAP) to offer a world-class program that includes the opportunity to present at the joint 61st PAP Convention and 8th ASEAN Regional Union of Psychological Societies (ARUPS) Congress, hosted in Cebu. Participants will also have the chance to present at the prestigious University of Santo Tomas’ Graduate School of Psychology in Manila.

Costs
A $500 per person deposit is required for your application to be considered complete and your name added to the participant list. This deposit is nonrefundable except in the case of cancellation by APA or due to U.S. regulations. If the trip does not go forward, the full deposit will be refunded or applied to another ILPP trip at the participant’s request. APA does not offer financial assistance or payment plans for International Learning Partner Programs.
Cost inclusions and exclusions
What is included
Meals and accommodations as outlined in the itinerary; ground transportation within the itinerary; all sightseeing and tour entrance fees within the itinerary. All delegates will have their own single rooms.
What is not included
Airfare; passport, airport or baggage fees; trip insurance; meals marked “not included” in the itinerary; food and beverages that are not part of the included meals; personal items or expenses such as room service, laundry service, etc.; alcoholic beverages; gratuities; expenses resulting from delays due to weather, sickness, government action, flight delays.
CE credits
Participants can earn up to 50 APA CE’s through this program. Select sessions during this program have been reviewed and approved by the American Psychological Association's (APA) Office Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP) to offer Continuing Education (CE) credit for psychologists. Full attendance is required at each session for which you are claiming CE credit. Partial credit is not awarded. The CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the program.
Itinerary
Delegates will have the opportunity to visit prominent organizations, including Save the Children, the Philippine Red Cross, the Psychological Association of the Philippines (PAP), the University of Santo Tomas, and many more.
