APA International Learning Partner Program to Bangladesh

Women on a boat in Dhaka

Explore applications of psychology and the development of the field across the world with APA’s International Learning Partner Program (ILPP)

In February 2018, APA hosted a trip to Dhaka and Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh to attend the Asian Regional Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy Conferenceopens in new window (ARCBT) and meet with psychology leaders in university and community settings. APA members also spent time in a Rohingya refugee camp, trauma centers for women and children, and a school for children with special needs.

Contact Tierney Collins for any questions about the ILPP program.

Thanks to our status as APA delegates, we were welcomed into public and private agencies, given detailed orientations, and guided on tours through facilities and a refugee camp that would have been closed to us had we visited Bangladesh independently.
