COVID-19 has caused disruptions in research across the country. Labs have closed, research projects have come to a halt and research staff are unable to come to work and perform their daily duties. Federal agencies such as the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation have been working diligently to help researchers get through this rapidly evolving and unprecedented time. Our panelists discuss what measures their agencies are taking to help researchers navigate through a variety of issues, including delays in research progress, budgeting, paying salaries and stipends, and unanticipated costs.
