The Guidelines for Psychological Practice with Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming Clients are posted for their second 90-day public comment periodopens in new window from Aug. 25 to Nov. 20.
The guidelines were developed by a joint task force of APA's Div. 44 (Society for the Psychological Study of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Issues) and APA's Committee on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Concerns. The task force will take all recommendations and comments from the second public comment period into account in any final revisions to the guidelines before sending them to APA's Board of Directors and then to APA's Council of Representatives.
