APA stands in solidarity with Ukraine. APA’s international team has contributed time and resources directly, as well as working with the Global Psychology Alliance (GPA) community to assist the National Psychological Association of Ukraine (NPA) to address the staggering needs of Ukrainians at home in their country and abroad.

Specifically, APA’s international team linked NPA to expert APA members and divisions who provided written resources, training webinars, and other forms of support to assist Ukrainian psychologists and the broader war-affected population. And in February 2022, the APA Council of Representatives passed a resolution in support of Ukraine, affirming APA’s stance for human rights and the psychological and physical health and well-being of all people worldwide.

APA also supported the fundraising efforts of the NPA to create telesupport for Ukrainians. In June 2022, NPA launched its hotline to provide daily video and audio support for Ukrainians living in 21 European countries.

If you would like to provide a free lecture or training to NPA’s hotline team, you can contact them via email and suggest a topic that would be useful for crisis psychologists. You can also make a donationopens in new window enabling them to pay the subscription fee for phone numbers and supervision hours for their psychologists.
