Partnership: Fighting stigma through music
Musicians such as Erick the Architect, MILCK, and Chelsea Cutler are talking about the mental health issues facing millennials and Gen Z in a collaborative series hosted by APA and Sound Mind Live, a nonprofit that addresses stigma around mental health through music.
The three-episode video series, called “Listening Well,” features interviews with an artist about their lived experience with mental health issues. The interviews are conducted by psychologist Riana Elyse Anderson, PhD, a fellow at the Harvard Hutchins Center for African and African American Research, who shares evidence-based feedback with viewers throughout the interview.
The initiative launched in January 2024 on Sound Mind Live’s TikTok channel and APA’s Instagramopens in new window, LinkedInopens in new window, Facebookopens in new window, Xopens in new window, YouTubeopens in new window, and Threadsopens in new window accounts.
